1.68 Ct. Cabochon Chrysoberyl from Ceylon (Sri Lanka)

Born beneath the ancient highlands of Ceylon Sri Lanka, this chrysoberyl carries a quiet history shaped by time and water, heat and mineral. In river gravels and pocketed schists, chromium and iron met with beryllium to coax out the yellowish green hues that make chrysoberyl so beloved. We brought the rough into the light of our workshop with respect for its origin, preserving its natural translucency as we shaped it into a classic oval cabochon.
