8.72 Ct. Madeira (Reddish Orange) Citrine from Bolivia

This Madeira reddish orange citrine began its geologic journey millions of years ago within the complex volcanic and hydrothermal systems of the Bolivian highlands. Silica rich fluids circulated through fractures and cavities in host igneous rock, cooling slowly and allowing quartz to crystallize in well defined forms. Trace concentrations of iron incorporated into the quartz lattice, together with prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures and oxidizing conditions, produced the characteristic warm amber to reddish orange tones that define Madeira citrine.
