This bracelet tells a provenance story that begins in the Mererani Hills of Tanzania, where the tanzanite rough was identified for its rare bluish violet hue and intense color saturation. Our team at The Natural Gemstone Company procured thirteen cabochon cut tanzanites, each selected for its individual shape and complementary tone, together weighing 108.83 carats. The rough was evaluated on site by our gemologists for clarity and color potential, then forwarded to a GIA laboratory for independent verification of the bluish violet designation. The resulting report confirmed the material as natural tanzanite with a clarity grade of slightly included, and affirmed the origin as Tanzania. Each cabochon was shaped to preserve the natural character and internal features of the stone, to enhance the depth of color while maintaining a polished, tactile surface that suits cabochon presentation. During cutting and finishing, the larger profiles were conserved so that each piece contributes visually to a cohesive bracelet that remains unmistakably organic in form.
The design and assembly process continued with the careful selection of four white round brilliant cut natural diamonds, totaling 0.34 carats, each graded at clarity VS1 and color F. These diamonds were chosen to act as restrained accents that emphasize the tanzanite color without competing for attention. All stones were securely set in an 18K white gold framework, chosen for its neutral tone and enduring strength, and assembled with standard secure findings and craftsmanship. The Natural Gemstone Company supervised each step from mine to mounting, applying documented chain of custody procedures and partnering with local miners and cutters to ensure ethical procurement and fair compensation. The finished bracelet presents the rare intensity of Tanzanian tanzanite in a measured and considered setting, combining certified gemological detail, responsible sourcing, and traditional goldsmith technique into a single, wearable archive of origin and craft.
